‘Fantastic plastics’ : we can’t ignore their function; the artificial product is timeless and cheap.
Eternel is a series inspired by the phenomenon of the fusion between nature and ‘man-made nature’. Last time I picked up so many ‘’artificial shells’’ on a beach by the Atlantic Ocean, they made me think of a question – an eternal question.
If it really takes plastic 500 years to decompose and disappear, then, compared to the length of a single human lifespan, is plastic eternal for us? Is nature, which has exited for billons of years, eternal compared to the lifespan of plastic pollutants? For us, we breathe and drink the plastic, so are we included in the eternal?
